Nodular Acne

Nodular acne is an inflammatory lesion. It is a severe type of acne vulgaris essentially speaking, and it has been known to consist of pimples that are bigger than papules, generally measuring the size of pencil erasers, and it can be extremely painful, even lasting for months at a time.  They can be hermorrhagic or suppurative, and they generally show up as hard, large bumps below the surface of the skin.

You should never try to pop or squeeze these.  This will ensure that you get some bad scarring and more pain without relieving the pain, popping anything out, etc.  It is definitely not worth it.  Some have resorted to Accutane to deal with it, and others have found that they can get it early and deal with it using other treatments.  However, of course, it is seen as a more severe form.  So many would say that it takes more severe steps to actually deal with it and treat it.  However, it of course depends on the person as to how they choose to actually deal with their particular problem.  Any way you look at it however, you have to deal with it.  Some eventually have a dermatologist deal with it in one appointment’s time.
