Popping Zits
I cringed yesterday when I saw my friend reach for her teen son’s face with fingers in pinching form. She’d spotted a pimple and decided that it had to go immediately. Not only was I afraid that the pimple contents would go everywhere (it was a huge one), I didn’t want to see her possibly scar her son’s handsome face.
The urge to pop a pimple is sometimes uncontrollable. Here it is that you have this “thing” on your face and it’s a little irritating. For those of us who are a little more vain, we just cannot be seen with a single blemish on our lovely faces. Pinching that trespasser seems to be the quickest path to relief. And, yes, you may rid your countenance of that mountain, but at what cost.
Which is worse, a temporary pimple or a permanent scar? That’s the question you should ask before reach to pop a pimple. You could possibly have a constant reminder of the pimple that was. Also, when you pop a pimple, you release the bacteria that is contained within. This bacteria can either enlarge the current bacteria, or may cause the birth of other pimples.
As for my friend’s son, I don’t know the aftermath of the popping event of yesterday, but I think I’ll go out and buy a nice skin care basket for him.
